Hi Everyone! Thanks for checking out my website. My name is Sierra. I've been singing, playing piano and songwriting for as long as I can remember.

 

It all started when I was 5 and supposedly told my parents I wanted to learn piano so I could play the 'Arthur' theme song. Sad but true. After a few weeks of lessons, I told my parents I "wanted to marry the piano."

 

From then on, I remember sneaking into my dad's recording studio for late-night recording sessions with his clients. I'd sing along to whatever they were doing and ALWAYS put my two cents in. As I got older, I recorded back up vocals and began observing the songwriting/recording process even more. The whole thing amazed me (still does). 

 

As I hit high school, I began songwriting lyrics and messing with piano parts to write original songs. At 17, I wrote, played, recorded and presented my first original song as my final senior project in front of my peers and teachers. The summer before, I traveled to Greece and sang in the old Epidavros theatre - known to have the best acoustics in the world. I sang Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and got a round of applause from foreigners that I was sure didn't even understand the English lyrics. I called my parents long distance and told them I was addicted to that feeling of entertaining and singing for people. 

 

In college, I studied Communications & Public Relations and graduated a semester early with a double major. Since then, I've been working full-time at Creative Marketing Agency and loving it. I need music in my life, too, though. I've been busy songwriting, rehearsing & playing live shows across the New York/Connecticut area.  I look forward to adding all the pieces of my journey to this site! xo
